Growing up alongside the Susquehanna River and Appalachian mountain range in central Pennsylvania deepened my relationship with nature's landscapes, the abstract, fraktur, and the mystery of barn stars. My paintings are intended to serve as an expression of inner states of being and how they collide with the ongoing need for community,  belonging, and sense of place. The watercolors, oil paintings, and dyes that I use are often made with items that I’ve foraged for. I hope that my paintings listen deeply to what surrounds them while they commune with both the unknown and the known.
